Amber Norgaard wrote the song and created the “Take It Higher” music video for the Multanen Legacy Scholarship Fund. The scholarship fund provides educational assistance to students in financial need who have endured hardship, trauma and struggle and want to rebuild their lives through education. The foundation is based upon the Finnish concept of "sisu" - a value that means forging on despite the odds, keeping hope alive no matter how dire the circumstance, and tapping into the power of the human spirit to do what honors the greatest good - ultimately, to prevail in the best way possible. Often this prevailing surpasses perceived limitations and opens new doorways to empowerment and living fully. Students who receive assistance display academic achievement, a commitment to serving others, and the core value of SISU - tenacity and perseverance amidst difficult circumstance.
