With the current Covid-19 pandemic sending the world into a crisis, singer-songwriter Kierra Gray shares the biggest lesson she has learned through it all, to slow down. Gray shared that during the quarantine she has had time to spend with her family, read a book, take a nap, and simply take time to smell the flowers without feeling guilty. She states, “This song is a reminder for me to not just exist, but to be present. I hope this message resonates with you as much as it has with me.” She has also made the song available for download from her website for free. She says, “Releasing this song isn’t about making a profit. It’s about giving a hopeful reminder, so you can download it from my website [and] give whatever you feel you should!”
One of Kierra’s most recent musical achievements was being named a 2018 National YoungArts Winner in the Voice/Singer-Songwriter discipline, where she was one of five singer-songwriters selected in the nation. Gray has also had the opportunity to provide two of her original songs for the 2020 Korean documentary and musical, Permission to Exist, scheduled for release later this year.
