Born and raised in Mumbai, singer-songwriter Nikitaa, who has spent her recent years in LA mastering her art, is poised to be a breakthrough star on the independent music scene, creating a witty blend of sassy melodies, partnered with powerful lyrics that give added depth to each of her compositions. Nikitaa combines ethereal Pop/RnB with a subtle nod to the South-Asian soundscape to bring a new genre she calls Goddess Pop. Directed by stylist and filmmaker Ria Panjabi & Beej Lakhani helming the role of director of photography – Nikitaa and partner (played by Delton D’Souza) are in different states of inertia. “Farewell” was Nikitaa’s first English-language music video to bring in a full crew in four years. “We shot this video in Lonavala tirelessly for two days from dawn till dusk. The idea of the entire video was to show my ‘partner’ is completely checked out and emotionally unavailable. And the joy that comes from the decision to walk away – to say ‘Farewell.’ I’m really excited for everyone to see it!”
