Today's Video Share: "Rimpianti" by Sisàra

Sisàra is an Italian Indie-Rock Band (from Padova, near Venice), with a female voice, playing our own songs since 2017, and we are trying to make ourselves known outside of Italy (a very difficult activity, given that we are independent and without a music label).

"Rimpianti" was born from a bass-drums jam session, from an idea of the bassist who was playing with us at the time, Sarah Wood (thanks Sarah!). A pressing bass line, with an upbeat hi-hat as a counterbalance, from which an equally rhythmic guitar riff was played. In stark contrast to the energetic atmosphere of the instrumental piece, Irene's introspective lyrics: a rather pessimistic reflection (the piece was unofficially titled "Deprimente"...) born in a rather dark moment in her life. The piece is therefore the expression of his doubts and discomfort, accompanied by a good dose of anger... and so, playing this piece turns into a liberating, almost cathartic moment for us every time!
