Today's Video Share: Back Together by Lynz Crichton

Lynz Crichton is an independent award-winning singer-songwriter from Nottingham in the UK and her style is reminiscent of female musicians like Jewel, Grace Potter and Amy MacDonald. She is part of the new wave of independent musicians, where friends of her music are at the center of everything she does. Her recent double EP release was called 'We Made This' and was born out of a project where Lynz would include her Crichton Clan at every step of the way. She recorded acoustic demo's of as many songs as she could within the first 90 days of 2018, and then asked the Crichton Clan to vote on which ones they wanted on the EP. The response blew her away, and very quickly she realised that her followers wanted to be part of the creative process. The Limited Run of CD's sold out within two weeks and now Lynz wants to share her music with you too. This music video for Back Together was the very first single Lynz ever released. If you'd like to be part of the next project inside the Crichton Clan, go to https://www.subscribepage.com/WOSradio or head over to www.lynzcrichton.com

Today's Video Share: Keep it Simple by Briget Boyle

This music video was filmed in a single session in Oakland. This song has a very special place in my heart. I wrote it shortly after my now-spouse and I started dating. It is so fitting that this is my first video, since I don't think I could have made this album happen without Harlow's support.

Director and edited by Jared Swanson (http://jaredswanson.tumblr.com/

My short bio: Briget Boyle is a songwriter, vocalist, and guitar player based in Oakland, California. As part of a full schedule of performing, teaching, and touring, Briget and a talented group of guest musicians have just finished recording Briget's second album, The Next Line, which will be available on Sept. 21, 2018. Briget's first solo record, The Parts Interior, came out in 2014 and was hailed as "emotionally resonant" and "sorrowful and redeeming."

Today's Video Share: Angels Are Among Us by Elaine Peacock

Written by Kim Martin
Sung By Elaine Peacock
Recorded at Two Birddog Studios by Steve Bankey
Mastered by Gerry Peters

In spring of 2015 God Sent me an angel!! While visiting us our guitar player, Dave Bergquist, he called an old friend of his in Minneapolis, Kim Martin!! A few weeks later she called asked to write a song for me! She sent me a song “Angels Are Among Us” about when angels are among us we never walk alone, and as a breast cancer survivor, this song has great meaning to me! It touched my heart and I loved it, so Dave put chords to it! After practicing, we went to the Two Bird Dogs Studio, owned by Steve Bankey in Dakota Dunes SD and recorded a scratch vocal and instrumental!

In the meantime, a musician in Nashville, Gerry Peters of Midi Magic Studio contacted me through LinkedIn and wanted to work with me! The rough track was sent to him. After receiving the final instrumental track, I returned to the studio to record the song! Steve then sent it to Gerry for mastering and harmony!

Gerry Peters then made a video to go with the song and released it in 2017!

Today's Video Share: I am Weak and So Are You by Valeska Rautenberg

Aerial Minds is the first of a cycle of four EPs by Berlin indie musician Valeska Rautenberg: Each dedicated to one of the four elements.
Every song is a facet. An element. But whole on their own. The video to 'I Am Weak And So Are You', the opening song, is a world of images showing what the song looks like to Valeska.

Let’s start with air: All four songs, though they vary in genre (from Darkpop/Trip-Hop to Storytelling Piano-Tunes), explore the EP’s main theme; the element air, capturing the intangible, ethereal and unthinkable in their own very unique ways.
It gets political, deals with loss, falls in love with human weaknesses and much more.

Today's Video Share: Often by Loren Cole

If there is one thing you can learn from Loren Cole, it’s to question everything. The singer-songwriter came of age in the digital world, but even she finds the whole social media landscape a bit exhausting. Her forthcoming debut album, For the Sake of Being Honest (out Aug. 24), serves as a reminder that what matters most is what is happening right here, right now. She’s only 22, but her mind is sharp and her songwriting is sharper. She’s shared stages with the likes of Jewel, The Accidentals, Mike Mains, Joe Hertler & the Rainbow Seekers and many others. This is only the beginning of a very promising career.

The album was produced by Henry Was, son of the pioneering musician, producer and record exec Don Was (The Rolling Stones, John Mayer, Stevie Nicks) out of his Santa Monica studio.

Loren Cole is young, but wise beyond her years. For the Sake of Being Honest is a mighty collection of truth, steeped in life-affirming epiphanies that only come from living with eyes sincerely open. Her shrewd and engaging examinations of relationships and coming-of-age are culled through detaching herself from a world of narcissism and toxicity. Her talents are captivating, and if this is her beginning, she's got a long career peeking up over the horizon.

Today's Video Share: Baby Boy by Carina Lewis

Seattle Neosoul/ RnB artist Carina Lewis, is a voice to be reckoned with. A life fully lived has culminated in music steeped in honesty, passion and pain. Her deep and sultry vocals mesmerize and seem to have the power to tame the rowdiest of crowds.

“Baby Boy,” was written as a lullaby for Carina’s son and has also become an anthem of a mother’s struggle to love both herself and her child to the very best of her ability.

The song has recently been released as a single in her usual soulful style peppered with electronic elements. This video version, however, is a poignant behind the scenes look at who Carina really is.

Today's Video Share: Hear That Sound by Louise D'Arcy

My name is Louise D'Arcy. I'm a singer songwriter from Australia and this is my very first music video for my song 'Hear That Sound'. We filmed it in my sister's photography studio with help from family and friends of my niece and nephew. The song itself was written in response to all the news stories coming in from overseas regarding gun related deaths and violence so it inspired this song which is essentially a fictional story about a real issue of Gun Culture which influences youth and future generations.

Today's Video Share: Sparks are Flying by Samantha Sargeant

Samantha is a singer from Kingston New Hampshire. I chose her as the one to sing an album that I produced featuring some of the very best songs written by songwriters with exemplary talents. I am going to have the album presented to record labels, after a period of several months where we get some feedback through social media as well as shows Women of Substance Radio. The musicians on this recording are formerly and / or currently in the following bands.....Elton John, Ringo Star, David Lee Roth, En Vogue, Pink, The Pointer Sisters, Paula Abdul......and the mastering was done by a 6 time Grammy award engineer. It is a finished product, a master recording, not a demo. In addition to performing with 2 different bands, Samantha also works days as a horseback riding instructor for kids at Verrill Farms in New Hampshire. She is 28 yrs old, is married, and has a 6 month boy, and she is most definitely a high character individual, and a woman of substance. Physical CD's are available at no charge to anyone. They are promotion only tools. Facebook page is Samantha Sargent. She was 5 months pregnant when we did the video although you can't tell.......we ended the video with a scene that showed a pregnant woman.....not something you would normally see in a music video. But it has "substance" because of it. Thank You.......Lee Gianangelo / Producer

Today's Video share: Let's Go Out by Tall Poppies

Tall Poppies match neat, melodic indie pop with darker, creative notions. Australian identical twins Susan and Catherine front the band on bass and guitar, spinning tales of life from both sides of the planet in dual harmony alongside Diarmuid, pulling at heart strings on violin and Doug Fink injecting the energy on drums.

The band bear similarities to Kate Bush and Camera Obscura, with influences including the likes of The Smiths, David Bowie and Belle and Sebastian.  Working with London based producer Brian O'Shaughnessy  (produced Primal Scream's ‘Screamadellica’) as well as with Paul Tipler (Elastica, Idlewild, The Horrors, Stereolab), the new album 'Let's Go Out' was formed and released 22nd June 2018.

This is the official video of the title single, 'Let's Go Out' it's all about seizing the day and soaking up the most of a Summer night.
