After a decades-long hiatus, a simple sound & lyric launched a new era of writing. Jan's style is soul-searching, truth-telling, wispy mezzo soprano/alto vocal, guitar & piano. While bringing back some timeless favorites from eras of school days and college duos, Jan is writing new songs of spiritual and social consciousness.
"To The One" is a tribute song to the victims affected by some of our country's mass tragedies. It is in honor of those who were lost, who survived, and who responded. Most of all, it is of hope that we can find a way to change this trend. It is one way of saying, we'll never forget, let's make it right.
