“Coming from a small town in Northeast Mississippi with not much more than a crazy dream of being a singer, I feel that I have been very blessed to make a living in Nashville for almost 20 years lending my voice to other people’s songs as a professional session singer. Recently, I decided it was time to finally find my own "Inner Voice" so I began writing songs with my friend and producer Denny Martin. I knew I wanted to write and record songs that have a positive message to hopefully encourage and help people in some way. When I heard "Bricks From The Ashes" written by Michael and Cheryl Berardi, I knew I had to include it on my album. I loved the melody and the lyrics but mostly I loved the powerful message that has already helped so many domestic abuse victims all over the world. As this song continues to touch lives and in some cases even save lives, I am reminded why I do what I do. I hope my music is a ray of light in someone's dark world.
