Today's Video Share: "Today" by Louise Alexandra

"Today" is a testament to live and love in the now and seize the day, which- and wherever the path is you are walking, at whatever age. “We live our lives alone, together or apart, but always part of the same game”. It features friends across the continents.

The Boston-based band on Today is: Paul McWilliams (piano), Fernando Huergo (bass), Martin Vazquez (Drums/Percussion), Mike Turk (Harmonica), Bill Vint (Saxes/ flute), Doug Hammer (piano, synths/recording/engineering). Featured vocalist is New York based Miram Waks.

Louise Alexandra is a jazz vocalist and singer/songwriter, with a dayjob as a scientist developing novel cancer immunotherapies. Now working in Utrecht (NL), her musical career as a recording artist started in Boston, with debut album Destiny (2012, under Louise Van Aarsen) receiving positive accolades all around. The incomparable jazz vocalist Rebecca Parris directed and co-produced Destiny as well as the recent 2020 release TODAY but unfortunately passed before seeing this last production come to life. The dedication is evident.
