"Holding The Heart When It Breaks" poem to song was written in response to the July 26, 2023 death of Sinead O'Connor and the suicide of her 17 year old son Shane on January 7, 2022. "Holding The Heart When It Breaks" is an outreach offering of the Hold On Campaign for Suicide Prevention. The lyric video opens with an introduction by Diane Kaufman, MD (child psychiatrist, poet, lyricist, founder/director of the Hold On Campaign). The singer-songwriter is Annabel Hodges. The Hold On Campaign educates on suicide prevention and supports those struggling with suicidal thoughts by using the power of art, compassion, and mental health skills to connect, express and heal.
