Today's Video Share: "Silver Moon" by Rock Farm Road Kneipp

Rock Farm Road Kneipp shares, “The video for 'Silvermoon' was recorded in Sydney NSW Australia at a local park rose garden. it was a beautiful day and I decided to lie down in the grass to get a better shot and interesting film angle. My husband thought it was a great idea and got up on the ladder that we brought in the car, even though I was in my best dress and hair and makeup that I did myself and the bugs were crawling over me. This song is a great romantic song about lost love and waiting for that love to return, there is a great bass solo at the end, which you don't always find in a pop song. We go by the band name 'Rock Farm Road' and record all our songs in our own home studio. We are an independent artist and released our debut album "Light My Way" in November 2019. We are considered Adult Alternative Contemporary Rock Pop Music as all instruments are played live into the recordings. We are working on a new album for release early next year and trust that you enjoy our artistic contribution to the world. Feel free to contact us at www.rockfarmroad.com

Today's Video Share: "It's Okay (Not to Be Okay)" by Abby K

Written just before brewing chaos changed life as we know it, “It’s Okay (Not to be Okay)” was born in Cambria, CA while Abby was touring the W. Coast promoting her latest album. Influenced by her musical heroes, Fran Healy of Travis and Michael Stipe of REM, the song reflects current authentic human feelings of anguish and fear surrounded by a giant ambient hug. It’s okay not to be okay. It’s okay to have hard times and bad feelings. And it’s okay to talk about them.

Abby’s sound is as green, lush and dramatic as the Pacific Northwest. Her melodies are instantly hummable and imminently memorable, and her stories will hit you smack dab in the heart.

She states, “This song is a reminder for me to not just exist, but to be present. I hope this message resonates with you as much as it has with me.” She has also made the song available for download from her website for free. She says, “Releasing this song isn’t about making a profit. It’s about giving a hopeful reminder, so you can download it from my website [and] give whatever you feel you should!”
One of Kierra’s most recent musical achievements was being named a 2018 National YoungArts Winner in the Voice/Singer-Songwriter discipline, where she was one of five singer-songwriters selected in the nation. Gray has also had the opportunity to provide two of her original songs for the 2020 Korean documentary and musical, Permission to Exist, scheduled for release later this year.

Today's Video Share: "Joy Comes Back" Live at The Paramount by Ruthie Foster Big Band

Comfort zones are sweet spots; that’s why they’re so easy to stay in. But Ruthie Foster refuses to get too cozy; she’d rather plot escapes from hers than dwell there. Breaking out wasn’t enough for her latest album, however. This time, she wanted to stepout — and on the night of January 26, 2019, she did, right onto the 105-year-old stage of Austin’s Paramount Theater, where she fronted a guitarist, keyboardist, bassist and drummer, plus 10 horn players, three backing vocalists and one conductor. And one adorable daughter handling the introduction. The recorded result is Live at the Paramount, featuring Ruthie Foster and the Ruthie Foster Big Band.  Street date is May 15, 2020.

Yes, that does say big band. For nearly 25 years, Foster has moved us with her powerful blues, soul and gospel vocals and eloquent songwriting, which have earned her accolades — three consecutive Grammy nominations and nine Blues Music Awards, plus fans worldwide. But Foster, it turns out, has harbored a hankering to further explore this long dormant, little-known, facet of her talent. So she decided her ninth album would swing back to the days (and nights) when Lady Ella sang Ellington and Sinatra blasted off with Count Basie and Quincy Jones.

Today's Video Share: "My Beautiful Dear" by Raina Krangle

Canadian folk/rock with a twist of country, this is Raina’s 5th release. “My Beautiful Dear” was a finalist in the Blues & Roots Songwriting Competition before its official release on March 20, 2020. Its storytelling lyrics draw on her parents’ 54-year-long love story and her childhood in a house where Bruce Cockburn’s “All the Diamonds” was the harmonized lullaby of choice. But to understand why “My Beautiful Dear” is even more poignant to Krangle, is to know it stems from her recovery from a traumatic brain injury (TBI) just under a year ago. The result is Headbangers — A Musical Recovery From Mild Traumatic Brain Injury, an 8-track odyssey completed in just 5 months’ time. Release date with artistic journal is planned for Summer 2021. Many of Raina’s songs like “Passing Me By” & “Needle in the Hay” have been in the top 10 on Women of Substance Radio.
