Today's Video Share: "Take My Hand Love" by Kathy Bogle

“I sang relentlessly as a child, then learned guitar at 14. I played out quite a bit in middle life, but now I'm retired and spend a good deal of my time working on music.

This is the last song on my CD. It's one of my favorites, mainly because of Christy Peterson's wonderful piano playing. This song took a long time to write because it kept changing, but I knew when it was done. The video expresses what I think the song is about...it's about all those who provide support in our times of need.”

Today's Video Share: "Wintergrass" by Kathy Bogle

I sang relentlessly as a child, then learned guitar at 14. I played out quite a bit in middle life, but now I'm retired and spend a good deal of my time working on music. This song was written in early empty-nest-ship; my youngest, who had recently left home, hated it. As we all become more divided, this song has taken on an even more poignant meaning for me. I hope you find meaning in it...or rather, I truly hope that it means absolutely nothing to you because you've never had this experience!

Today's Video Share: "Bad Bad Liar" by Kitty Coen

The music video for this track is equal parts hellish and epic. Viewers watch as Coen endures the purgatory-esque annoyance of her foul dinner-date before flipping the script with the bat of an eye. As soon as she’s had enough, the heroin taunts her abuser while he’s at her mercy tied up in a chair. She effortlessly takes back her power and flexes it with a divine elegance in spite of him; Coen progressively ascends to authority all the while never once sacrificing the electricity of her gothic glam aesthetic. The charisma and irrefutable style Coen gives off in this video leaves listeners in awe of Nashville’s newest it girl. “Bad Bad Liar” came together in collaboration with Justin Johnson (producer), Adam Grover (mastering, Sterling Sound), and Julian Dorio (drums). This anthem offers fans an empowering example of a fearless woman unwilling to sacrifice her well-being at the hands of someone who never wanted the best for her in the first place.

Today's Video Share: "There Was A Time" by Stephanie Seymour

"There Was a Time" is the brand new single from Stephanie Seymour (formerly of The Aquanettas and Birdy). Eddie Van Halen is one of her favorite guitarists. After his death, she began thinking about when he and his former wife Valerie Bertinelli were the “it” couple in the '80s and '90s, and a flood of wonderful memories came back to her. Though she wrote the song with them in mind, the lyrics are universal and relevant to anyone who has fond memories that are brought back by photos, music, or whatever it may be. She wanted to create a celebratory song that people can relate to, especially as there have been such difficult circumstances affecting us all during the last couple of years. Her husband Bob Perry, who plays guitar and bass on the song, shot the video in their home studio (Chrometop Studio) and their yard. They also got some band members to send in their footage. Ira Elliot live in Florida, and he sent in some awesome outdoor drum footage. Keyboard player Ray Nissen lives in Maryland, and he sent in cool footage from his home studio too, as did the horn players. Enjoy!
