This story really is what I went through when I started my previous career as a Financial Advisor. I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED working in an office and creating investment portfolios, but boy, can time become a struggle real quick. If I was not careful, it could have got the best of me and zapped some of the fun out of life. I challenge you to grab time by the .... and take control.

Xs & ARROWs is a trio of native Los Angelenos bound by teenage friendship, a love of Irish rock, and commitment to artistic creation.

The group began as rock n' roll quartet EXIT, playing high-profile clubs such as The Whisky and The Viper Room. In their incarnations with various singers, they have had some truly noteworthy experiences: playing the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, touring the Balkans, even joining U2 on stage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles for a performance of the legendary band's "Out of Control."

Today Xs & ARROWs have found their identity fronted by guitarist Courtney Lavender, favouring an acoustic vibe with warm, vulnerable vocals. Their debut EP, From Here, was released in 2017, featuring a collaboration with Glen Hansard.

The band performed at the NAMM show in early 2020, and over the course of the following year, released several home videos that led to the creation of a new EP, Awoken by Owls (Home Sessions), out September 17, 2021.

Today's Video Share: "Farewell" by Nikitaa

Born and raised in Mumbai, singer-songwriter Nikitaa, who has spent her recent years in LA mastering her art, is poised to be a breakthrough star on the independent music scene, creating a witty blend of sassy melodies, partnered with powerful lyrics that give added depth to each of her compositions. Nikitaa combines ethereal Pop/RnB with a subtle nod to the South-Asian soundscape to bring a new genre she calls Goddess Pop. Directed by stylist and filmmaker Ria Panjabi & Beej Lakhani helming the role of director of photography – Nikitaa and partner (played by Delton D’Souza) are in different states of inertia. “Farewell” was Nikitaa’s first English-language music video to bring in a full crew in four years. “We shot this video in Lonavala tirelessly for two days from dawn till dusk. The idea of the entire video was to show my ‘partner’ is completely checked out and emotionally unavailable. And the joy that comes from the decision to walk away – to say ‘Farewell.’ I’m really excited for everyone to see it!”

Today's Video Share: "Boy of A 1000 Tears" by Neu Sierra

Boy Of A 1000 Tears — 'Sulphur and Molasses' also includes the romantic noise-ballad 'Boy of A 1000 Tears', a song with almost 40 years worth of history, since Nils Lassen - who also happens to be the producer of the EP - first sang it to his then girlfriend. The song has since been in the hands of some of Denmark's most prominent artists and producers. The song becomes something both filthy and grand as Neu Sierra breathes life into its thousand tears. The video for 'Boy of a 1000 Tears', edited by the singer herself, is cut from footage of abandoned refugee camps in both Syria, Afghanistan and Greece.

"To me it's really a universal song of comfort. It's about wanting what's best for the 'boy of a 1000 tears' and all the other sad souls out there. I know I'm not alone in feeling powerless about how our elected representatives handle refugees. The video kind of became postcards from abandoned refugee camps, culminating in an eerily fascinating rain of missiles, that might as well have been fireworks at a wedding. And once again Afghanistan is even back on everyone's mind, which is just more proof of the futility of war" tells the singer.

Today's Video Share: "AI's Daydream feat. Zsolt Kaltenecker" by Imitation

Here is a song from Imitation's new album - featuring Zsolt Kaltenecker. It’s about an Artficial Intelligence daydreaming about being human. The animated music video has been created by Pablo Campos.
Genre: art-electro, glitchtronica, art-pop nu jazz.

Imitation is an emerging indietronica duo by Zsanett Pápai and Bulcsu Gödri. Their music is somewhere in The Knife – Björk – Bonobo triangle. They describe their tone as weird pop and no style which reflects the formation’s uncompromising urge to express themselves without boundaries and to combine
different genres like minimal electro, trip-hop, trash, avantgarde with a unique touch and poignant voice.
Bulcsu creates a musical universe with detached, melancholic, cold and quirky tones which is complemented by Zsanett’s intimate, reflected and freewheeling singing.

Their debut album THE ORIGINAL has been released in September 2018. It was chosen into the best albums of the last 10 years. “The LP recalls Björk’s best time.” – KULTer.hu

In September 2021 the second album Artificial by Nature has been released. It contains “melancholic electronica, danceable experimental songs and epic ballads” and it also explores further into the realms of glitchtronica and expression methods through fragmentation and inaudibility”.

I'm a singer songwriter from west Scotland, working mostly in a jazz vein. This is a track from my recent album, 'My Scottish Heart' which reimagines old Scottish songs in contemporary settings. The song, 'I know Where I'm Going' was written in the 19th century but we've given it a 1950's style swing treatment and the video is light hearted and fun.
