Today's Video Share: "El Viento" by Cecilia Villar Eljuri

“El Viento” (The Wind), establishes a direct connection with the artist, Eljuri, self proclaimed as a ‘Latin from Manhattan’. This romantic bolero filled with Latin American melancholy recalls great ballroom dancing and Caribbean sensuality. Doing homage to the traditional Latin rhythms and harmonics she grew up with the lead guitar used on the solo of this song is one of Eljuri’s own invention, an electric tres, custom built for her by her personal luthier.

Touted as one of the top Latina electric guitar players in the world, Eljuri navigates through musical landscapes ranging from rock and pop-punk, to bolero, reggae, and Afro-Cuban rhythms, all presented with an elegant and socially conscious female voice.

Today's Video Share: "Quarantine Crazy" by Lauren St. James

Lauren St James is a British Pop Singer, Songwriter and Producer offering up fun, sassy and empowering songs that promise to get anyone out of a bad mood.

'Quarantine Crazy' is Lauren's 7th single and is a youthful, light-hearted yet extremely relatable song that offers up a millennial’s perspective on the COVID crisis and the every day struggles of living in lockdown. The vocal melodies and production are reminiscent of 90’s Pop/R&B, drawing influences from Timbaland, Destiny’s Child and Christina Aguilera to add to the youthful, millennial feel of the song.

In addition, the music video, that was made during the UK Lockdown by Lauren and her sister, was shot completely on Snapchat, moving in and out of the classic Snapchat Filters that took the world by storm, again adding to the modern yet homemade feel of the project. While the song is a lament of the unforeseen hardships faced in 2020, it also conveys a sense of community in the very real and relatable ways that the world faced the pandemic together.

Lauren is also donating all the proceeds from the song to the S2 Food Bank in Sheffield to help feed those affected by coronavirus in her local area.

Today's Video Share: "Between Us" by Michelle Rose

I co-wrote and recorded this song well before I had ever experienced a love relationship that was actually good. My song was based on what I thought a perfect relationship would look like. This past summer, I cast a handsome actor in one of my other music videos, and we began dating. It turned out that he actually does bring me roses on all of our dates, and he treats me like a queen! This video, which he and I planned and acted in together, highlights not just what my fantasy relationship would be like, but shows my life now imitating art. I hope you enjoy the video and the song!

Today's Video Share: "St. Patrick's Breastplate (Prayer of St. Patrick)" by Jean Watson

Making the video for “St. Patrick’s Breastplate” was one of the highlights of my life! The song itself is based on the ancient prayer of Saint Patrick from the fifth century A.D.. According to legend, Saint Patrick was facing enemies who were going to kill him but he prayed this prayer and was kept safe.

I never dreamed I would get to film a video for the song in Northern Ireland singing in some of the very places where Saint Patrick lived and worked! There is no green screen used in this production - I am actually singing on location!

The videographer heard the song and pictured a medieval sword fight. Fortunately. He knew some professional sword fighters who worked on the set of the Game of Thrones television show. So we hired them and staged a sword fight!

The final scene in front of Dunluce Castle was very moving for me. It had been raining and dreary, but just before I sang the sun burst out from behind the castle. There wasn’t a dry eye behind the camera that day!

Today's Video Share: "To The One" by Haley Montgomery

This video was so much fun to make. It’s one of the most celebratory songs I’ve ever put out and honestly, singing it, dancing to it, has helped me feel a lot of much needed joy the last couple years. I loved the “gorilla street team” approach and vibe of this video. All shot on an iPhone, by my friend JB Verances, at some of my favorite local shops in San Diego (main feat. atypical waffles) - we truly came at this video wanting to champion the beauty of local community and art in SD. I put the word out to my fans and friends, and wow... all kinds of people showed up that day - ready to dance to my song. One of my favorite memories so far. Here is “TO THE ONE” of my latest release Confessions.

Today's Video Share: "Queen of Babylon" by Dana Rexx

"Queen of Babylon" explores the elation of finding new love and passion, after emerging from the ruins of heartbreak. The track also promotes self-forgiveness through the notion that the present cannot be what it is, without the past that came before it, however painful that past may be. This video was shot during full lockdown (covid-19) in Belgium with a corona-proof video shoot and was directed and edited by Dana Rexx herself. A 5-track EP is scheduled to be released on 2 June and is conceptually focused on an uplifting message of empowerment, especially for women, and overcoming darkness.

Today's Video Share: "Every Time I Kick the Ball" by Jillian Swanson

Jillian Swanson, an operatic soprano, is a native of Schaumburg, Illinois. Since graduating with her Masters in Vocal performance from the State University of New York at Fredonia, she has appeared in numerous operatic, concert, and musical theatre productions throughout the country and over-seas, most recently Graz, Austria. When not performing Jillian is an avid cosplayer and builds unique costumes, with original hair and make-up design. “I love the role of Gabby and this song,” says Jillian. “This is a fascinating story of a young woman who wrestles with the patriarchy of football, feeling like an outcast even though she’s so talented and has this gift for kicking. During the song we see her struggle with her past experiences. As the song progresses, Gabby finds this inner fire about herself, which is inspired by other female athletes in the past. She turns that into something powerful and emotional.” Dancing Pony Productions hopes to uses the video of Every Time I Kick the Ball as a proof of concept to generate interest in developing the full musical short, Let Her Kick. In the meantime, we just want to share Gabby’s positive message with others who may need to hear it.

Today's Video Share: "Fear!" by Callie Bell

This song was written in March 2020 and reflects the viral panic that seemed to be infecting society. The video performance was all done in one take as we felt it increased the engagement with the story and represented the continuous stream of disinformation bombarding the public.

The video was shot at home against a black background and then the piano was edited into the shot. The little red devils just appeared on their own!

Franklin and Bell are the songwriting and recording partnership of Chris Franklin and Cally Bell. Their first album “LIFE LINES” was released in December 2020 and two songs from the album have been released as singles; “GIVE IT TIME” and “FEAR (Has Gone Viral)”. Both singles have videos on YouTube. All songs available on most music platforms.

Today's Video Share: "Perfect Day" by Stefa

Hi, I'm a French singer songwriter based in Brussels and I just released my debut EP on Christmas day 2020. My roots are as diverse as my influences: blues, rock, Brittany, Guadeloupe, the UK... My songs tell the stories of the people and the places I've encountered along the way. I wrote this song 'Perfect Day' after a beautiful weekend in Normandy last year. Playing it reminds me that you can find light and happiness in the little things in life: love, a ray of sunshine, a kind gesture… It doesn’t take much to make your day. I hope yours will be a little brighter after listening to this song :) The EP is available on all platforms: https://snd.click/ovl Thanks in advance!

Best regards, Stefa (https://url.bio/stefa)

Today's Video Share: "Give It Time" by Callie Bell

We wrote this song as an antidote to all the mental anxiety that has been prevalent during the Covid crisis. We hoped it might bring people some comfort as well as help their way of thinking. When we are in hard times it feels like it will go on forever, but this is rarely true. Things always change over time, hence the title of our song “GIVE IT TIME”.

The Video was filmed during lockdown, hence why we are in a field! But we also felt the field represented calmness, and a break from being stuck inside. And we snuck in a reference to the NHS by having a rainbow briefly appear in the video.
